Eduardo Leão
Eduardo Leão has over 15 years of experience in mining, environmental management, strategic planning, risk and crisis analysis, environmental projects and local development. Mr. Leão has extensive experience in Brazil, in both the public and private sectors, having previously held the position as Director of the National Mining Agency (ANM), Executive Secretary of Economic Development, Mining and Energy of the State of Pará, and progressively senior positions and various consultancies. For approximately 8 years, Eduardo Leão was an executive with Vale, where he developed expertise in large mines such as the S11D iron ore mine. Mr. Leão is a hydraulic and environmental engineer, with a master’s degree in Geology and Earth Sciences from Federal University of Pará an MBA from Dom Cabral Foundation (Brazil) along with a postgraduate degree in water resources management and industrial environmental management.
