Joseph R. Blumberg
Joseph R. Blumberg has been with Grupo M-Codevi (Haiti-Dominican Republic) since 1987. He is a Partner and Member of the Board of Directors. Currently, he is the Managing Director of the Grupo M / CODEVI Industrial Park on the Border of the Dominican Republic and Haiti, attracting world-class Tenants to settle in CODEVI and thus contributing to the vision of the President of Grupo M, creation of jobs. Over the past 36 years he has held various executive positions from manufacturing general manager to Director of Operations to Managing Director. Throughout this period he has held responsibilities related to Product Research and Development, Compliance, Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility, including Director of Marketing and Strategic New Business Development. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Free Zone Companies of Santiago from 1996-1998. He served as advisory member of the Board of Directors of the Council on Economic Priorities (CEP) for the design and development of SA-8000, the first Compliance and Social Responsibility standard for the textile industry in 2004. Mr. Blumberg serves on the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) Los Angeles Apparel Industry Management/Menswear Career Advisory Board since 2021. He is a graduate of Industrial Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra with a major in Production and Operations.
