Viola Albertinazzi, Law Intern
Viola is a highly motivated legal professional with a strong academic foundation in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, with an LL.M. from American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. She has excelled in her studies, earning a full scholarship as part of a double degree program with Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome, Italy, where she also completed her master’s degree in law with a major in International Law.
Throughout her academic journey, Viola has gained a diverse range of international experiences, including exchanges and summer programs in Argentina, Denmark, New Zealand, and Spain. She has been actively involved in various extracurricular activities, such as the Legality Project at Luiss University, volunteering with the Community of Saint’Egidio, and participating in the Model United Nations in New York.
Viola has demonstrated a strong commitment to the protection of human rights through her internships and fellowships. She recently worked as a Human Rights Division intern at the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in Geneva, where she represented Italy in institutional meetings and drafted reports for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She also served as a research assistant at the European Court of Human Rights and a legal assistant at the Legal Human Rights Center in Tanzania, gaining valuable experience in trial preparation, legal research, and human rights advocacy.
Fluent in Italian, English, and Spanish, Viola is set to be admitted to the New York State Bar in 2025 and is eager to continue advancing her legal career, with a particular focus on international law, human rights, and environmental law.
